In addition to his books, he began to publish a monthly magazine that remained in publication for over 50 years, was the most popular health magazine of the time, and was the forerunner of today's health and bodybuilding publications.

    The name of the magazine was Physical Culture. The first issue appeared March 1899 and sold for 5 cents and focused on bodybuilding.
